Meet the Guides & Crew

Brian Roberts

Brian is a guide and the owner of Teepee Creek Outfitters. Raised in southern Ohio, where he honed his skills hunting whitetail deer, his passion for the outdoors led him to Montana where he guided hunters in the backcountry for 12 years. He started to work for Todd France in 2020, successfully guiding hunters in the Gravelly Range. In 2024, Todd entrusted Brian to take over the outfit. Brian got his outfitter license and created Teepee Creek Outfitters. As a seasoned guide, Brian thrives in the mountains, combining his expertise with a relentless work ethic to ensure every hunter's success. He’s committed to the big game chase and won’t rest until his clients have an unforgettable hunting experience. Brian makes sure his team is highly experienced, the camp is comfortable, and that hunters have everything they need for a successful and enjoyable experience.

Todd France

I’d like to introduce Todd France, the founder of Blast and Cast Outfitters. With over 30 years of experience running his successful fishing and hunting operation, Todd is truly a legend in the field. His expertise on the water and in the woods is unmatched, but what truly sets him apart is his genuine character and kindness. In 2024, Todd sold the big game outfit to Brian and continues to guide hunters for us. We are very thankful for his guidance and support! Todd is an Ennis, Montana native and one of the most experienced Montana fly fishing guides in the area. He has spent his entire life hunting and fishing and has been successfully guiding hunters and fishermen in the area for well over 30 years. Todd and his crew have a great passion for their customer’s happiness and work hard to ensure a successful and unforgettable experience. Todd also is an outfitter for Smith River Trips- which is an epic Montana experience (check it out on his website- www.blastandcastoutfitters.com).

Austin Vaughn

My name is Austin Vaughn I am the oldest of 3 brothers. I’m currently working towards my journeyman plumbing license in Manhattan, Montana. I grew up in Oregon, hunting Blacktail deer and Roosevelt elk in some of the thickest countries. Hunting for me isn’t all about harvesting an animal, it’s about the experiences, friendships, smiles, and laughs. Creating a well-rounded experience is something I will strive for.

Sam Olney

Growing up in a rural fishing community along northwest Washington, Sam has become an avid outdoorsman with a strong passion for elk hunting. Through his years chasing elk with a bow, Sam brings a very high energy and knowledge of pursuing the big western game. Believe it or not, Sam loves to cook just as much as he loves to chase elk. He’s always excited to meet every new client in camp.

Jeff Klein

Jeff is a former firefighter and now a dedicated electrician. He grew up pursuing blacktail deer and wild pigs along California's central coast. His passion for hunting has taken him from coast to coast, allowing him to experience the thrill of chasing diverse game, including deer, elk, moose, and mountain goats, across various states. With a wealth of experience and a deep love for the outdoors, Jeff is excited to meet new clients and be a part of their memorable big game hunting adventures.

Alyssa Roberts

Alyssa is a vital part of Teepee Creek Outfitters, skillfully balancing multiple roles that enhance the hunting experience. As the camp cook, she prepares hearty meals that not only nourish but also bring everyone together. Her passion for cooking is evident in every dish, crafted to fuel long days of hunting.

Alyssa began her journey in hunting whitetail deer in 2013 alongside Brian. Since then, her passion for hunting has only intensified, drawing her deeper into the intricacies of the sport. As she continues to pursue her passion, she embraces every opportunity to learn and grow as an outdoorswoman.

As a hunting guide, Alyssa leverages her deep knowledge of the outdoors and wildlife. She approaches guiding with the same dedication she has for cooking, leading hunters with a steady hand and a commitment to their safety and enjoyment. Her goal is to foster unforgettable memories for every hunter who joins Teepee Creek Outfitters, leaving them with stories of adventure to share long after the hunt is over.

CAMP CREW

Molly Patterson

“Hey ya’ll! I’m Molly Patterson, I’m originally from Tennessee and have lived in Montana for 13 years. Although I’m not a hunter (YET), I’m an avid lover of the outdoors! When I’m not in hunting camp, I row cargo and camp host on the Smith River. Lover of woods and water! Making people happy and comfortable is my game!”

We’re fortunate to have Molly chopping firewood, getting meals ready, tending camp, and watching over the horses! She is a friend to everyone and always brings laughs to the group!

Gabri Steigerwalt

“Hey! I’m Gabri, lover of animals and the outdoors! My free time is typically spent with my horses and dogs or foraging in our amazing state of Montana. I hope to help make your trip with Teepee Creek the best it can be and can’t wait to meet you!”

We’re excited to have Gabri back at camp for the first time this year. She’s been doing amazing and loving the backcountry! Thanks, Gabri for your hard work!

Sally Dog

Sally is truly the best family, cattle-working, camp dog ever. With her keen senses and vigilant nature, she serves as a steadfast guardian of the campsite, always alert to potential predators. (She is the best at chasing bears out of camp!) Her protective instincts ensure everyone feels safe and secure. Sally's friendly demeanor makes her a beloved camp crew member. She greets every visitor with enthusiasm and affection, quickly becoming a cherished companion to all. Her unique balance of protection and warmth embodies the spirit of camaraderie that makes hunt camp so special.
